General Information
WHAT IS THE COST FOR USING ONLING BANKING?
First LA National Bank's online banking service is FREE.

WHAT IF I FORGET MY USER ID AND PIN?
You can call Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4 PM and a customer service representative can assist you with user IDs and PINs.

HOW CAN I TELL THE SYSTEM IS SECURE?
We use 128-bit encryption, the highest form of encryption currently available to secure your online banking sessions. Whenever you see the padlock symbol in your browser, you know this security feature is active. Other security tools are in place to ensure the integrity of your data, including firewalls and filtering routers that secure computers from internet access which protects information both internal and external.

For added security, customers must select their own Personal Identification Number (PIN). PIN guessing is deterred by locking the ID out of the system follow three unsuccessful attempts.

These layers of security work together to make sure that all the activity between you and First LA National Bank is both secure and authentic.

WHAT IS 128-BIT ENCRYPTION?
There are basically two types of encryption: "High" and "Standard". A "High" (128-bit) encryption is more powerful than "Standard" (40 or 50-bit encryption). "High" or 128-bit encryption means there are a septillion (1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) possible keys that could fit into the lock that holds your account information but only one that works each time you bank online.

First LA National Bank uses the highest level of encryption (128-bit) to ensure your online transactions are secure. Our internet banking system does not support the use of browsers with 40 or 50-bit encryption.

Online Bill Pay
WHAT IS BILL PAY?
Bill Pay is a service in which you can pay your monthly bills online. You can pay any business or person, even if they don't accept electronic payments. All you need is the payee's name and mailing address.

YOU CANNOT PAY GOVERNMENT AGENCIES WITH BILL PAY.

WHAT IS THE COST OF USING BILL PAY?
$4.95 Month.

HOW DOES THE BILL PAY SERVICE WORK?
Your payments will be either electronically transferred from your First LA National Bank checking account through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network or checks are written from your account and then mailed to the payee (entity or person the check is payable to).

If the organization or person is not set up to accept ACH, then payments will be made by check.

HOW ARE PAYMENTS DEBITED FROM MY ACCOUNT WHEN MADE THROUGH THE ACH NETWORK?
The date that you request the payment be made will be the date the funds are debited from your account.

Payments can only be debited from account with positive balances.

Allow at least 3 business days for electronic payments to process.

HOW ARE PAYMENTS DEBITED FROM MY ACCOUNT WHEN MADE BY CHECK?
Payments made by check are debited from your account like any other check that you have written on your account.

For check payments, you should establish the payment date at least ten (10) days prior to the payment due date.

HOW DO I KNOW WHETHER A PAYMENT WILL BE MADE ELECTRONICALLY OR BY CHECK?
Our bill pay service determines which payments are made electroncially or by check. When adding a payee, you should search the Electronic Payee database. If your payee is listed, then an electronic payment is made; if the payee is not listed, then a check will mailed.

CAN I PLACE A STOP PAYMENT ON A BILL THAT I HAVE ALREADY SET UP?
Yes, you can cancel an electronic bill payment at any time before 11 AM (CST) on the business day prior to the payment date you established.

Once the bill has been debited out of your account, you CANNOT cancel or stop payment on that bill.

If the bill has been paid by check, you can place a stop payment by contacting any of our banking locations before the check has cleared your account.

WHEN I PAY A BILL, WHEN DOES THE MONEY COME OUT OF MY ACCOUNT?
If the payee (entity or person who the check is payable to) is in the Electronic Database, the funds come out of your account the day payment is made. If the payee is paid by check, the funds will be deducted from your account the day the check clears your account just like any other check you write.
